RESULTS: The BG coexists in Habbanya Ridge Sietch with the marauding Imperial troops, plus another spiritual advisor comes along for the ride. Meanwhile, in Sietch Tabr, the Atreides presciences the Fremen's number dialed and sees that it will be "5". Knowing this, the crafty Atreides knows that it's all down the cards: The Atreides leader must live and the Fremen leader must die. Any other result gives the game to the Fremen. On the plus side, the Atreides knows that he doesn't actually have to commit any tokens to the battle either, which he doesn't. Lady Jessica, working alone with the rest of the Atreides troops taking cover, tries to take the battle by assassinating the Fremen leader from a distance with a Maula Pistol. She bursts in and catches Stilgar himself unaware; he dies entering Sietch Tabr, a Poison Snooper twitching uselessly nearby. Now if only she can survive to return to her troops, the rest of the Fremen, stunned by the loss of Stilgar, should be easily mopped up. But it was not to be. Parched by her recent exertion, Jessica pauses for a tiny sip of water from an overturned dew collector. She doesn't notice that it's been contaminated by the Fremen insurgents: Chaumurky! Jessica's personal Shield does nothing to protect her from this insidious threat. She dies quietly and unseen. The Fremen, a crack squad of the dreaded Fedaykin, overrun the small Atreides force. THE END Victory belongs to the Fremen, led by JonathanMcC, and a noble victory it is: Solo control of 3 strongholds, playing his own game and using every possible trick up the Fremen's sleeves to snatch a stealthy win! Congratuations to Jonathan, and to everyone who played. It was a good game, and I honestly didn't expect it to end this soon. I'd be interested to know everyone's thoughts on the game.
