I've been thinking about making RoboRally boards of my own and decided to look at the official boards to see what they had on the edges. I have the 12 boards that come with RoboRally and Armed and Dangerous which makes 48 edges. Each edge has 12 squares which I've numbered from top to bottom.

What I found was that the placement of walls along the outside of the board was pretty uniform, as well as conveyors moving onto and off of the board.

Incase you wonder what my labels refer to, I'll list them all:

Blank - an empty factory floor
Down - a conveyor belt that slides down
 Gear - a gear
In - a conveyor belt that slides into the board
Out - a conveyor belt that slides off of the board
 Pit - a pit
 Randomizer - a randomizer
Repair 1 - a single wrench repair depot
Repair 2 - a double wrench repair depot
 Teleport - a teleporter
Up - a conveyor belt that slides up
 Water - water (non-flowing)
Wall - a wall on the edge of the board (something might be behind the wall, but that's not what I'm looking at)
